I would like to thank each and every one of you for your prayers and support for my ministry on both sides of the border.

YUMA, AZ (Services on Sundays at Sunday School - 10:00 a.m., Preaching 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.)
You probably heard it on the radio, or read it in the newspaper - Yuma is ground zero when it comes to immigrant-smuggling. That's why it's so important to have a Spanish work here that reaches those souls. In May, President Bush visited this city and the city of San Luis, as both of them are pivotal examples of how important this area is to the hispanic influence in the whole country. Please continue your support and prayers so that we can reach those precious souls.
We have had six people get baptized recently. Some of them are new Christians and others had been saved for a few months but hadn't taken the obedience step of baptism. They were baptized on April 9th when Pastor Scribner at Heritage Baptist Church was kind enough to allow us to use their baptistry. The newly baptized Christians are all coming faithfully - praise the Lord! Additionally, I've started a discipleship class, they are all learning and growing spiritually. It's a blessing to see them so eager to come to the discipleship classes which meet every Tuesday.
On Resurrection Sunday, we had our first Lord's Supper, and those that got recently baptized could partake of it. It was a blessing to see them take part of it. We have others who have been saved but, have not surrendered to be baptized. Please pray that the Lord will work on their hearts. Especially pray for the rest of the Vargas family. Sister Rosalinda is the only one who is baptized and the rest of them need to follow her example.
There are others that have started coming to the church; the Rodriguez family. They had been looking for a fundamental baptist church in Spanish for a few months and the Lord led them to our church. They seem to like it.

OUTREACH IN MEXICO
LOS ALGODONES, B.C (Services at 3:00 p.m. on Sundays) - and SAN LUIS RIO COLORADO, SON., MEXICO
The work in Los Algodones is being blessed by the Lord, but it needs commitment from the people. Most of the people have not made the decision to get baptized and for that reason their spiritual growth has been hindered. I've been preaching about that subject and Lord willing, we will have baptisms soon. There is a new young man coming to church, Ignacio. He recenly got saved through our door-to-door evangelism and came to church the following Sunday. He seems sincere and it has been an encouragement to all the people in the church because we haven't seen new young men coming to the church; most of the time our visitors are women and children. As for visitors - we have had quite a lot but, they have not come back. Please continue praying for the Lord's Will regarding the building. We need our place but we are waiting on God. I have been offered help by a church that is not of like-faith and had to turn that down after praying about it. The offer seemed good at the beginning but it would've indeed opened the door for those people to try to influence the church's procedure. Please pray for the people over there. The three digit temperatures have arrived and some people only have a swamp cooler to protect from the heat. Some of them have infants in their families. Remember them.
In San Luis Rios Colorado Mexico, I have been preaching with a new megaphone that the Lord provided. It is a 50 watt unit and it has been a blessing. It has twice the power of the other one I had! I have been using it in San Luis and Los Algodones and it makes a huge difference. People need to hear the message of salvation and this tool is a great help. There are not as many people on the streets because of the heat but I've been preaching close to the port of entry to USA where the line of cars is and hundreds of people can hear the message even with their windows rolled up. Please continue praying for a work in San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico.

ANNOUNCEMENTS / PRAISES
We have taken three more missionaries on for support and are now supporting five missionaries. We are praying for our first Mission's Conference (in Spanish), Lord willing, in November (the weekend after Thanksgiving Day). I am very excited about it and have asked the Spanish church to be praying and consider giving for that purpose. My goal is to double the amount of missionaries we support now, next year.
We had the privilege to help one of our missionaries in Mexico by providing a van for his use in the ministry. A bigger van was donated to us and we traded that for another to give to our missionary (Pablo Sanchez). Also the Lord provided the means to have my car fixed and painted. The paint was falling apart and it had many things that needed to be fixed. Now it runs, and looks, a lot better! Praise the Lord! The Lord also provided the money I needed to visit with the dentist and have all the work that had to be done in my mouth. It cost me a fortune but, I thank God for his provision.
During the months of April to June, 44 souls sent their information professing to have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior reading the electronic gospel tracts of my website www. interbiblia. com We have also our own website for the Spanish church running, but not finished yet. www. iglesiabautistaverdad. com I plan to add video lessons for discipleship and training for new preachers.

May God bless you and please continue praying for me. I appreciate your prayers and financial support.

Your servant in Christ,

Missionary Ulises Velazquez

Newsletter from October 2005 to March 2006

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
The Lord has been working and giving the increase in the Yuma church. We’ve had new visitors coming to church and it has been wonderful to see the church grow, little by little. I decided to concentrate my focus on the church in Yuma and establish the work here. It was my prayer that this church could support the rest of the missions. Since I made that decision I have seen the hand of the Lord moving amazingly. Five families have joined the church since last October; an average of one family, per month. The Gonzalez, Rojas, Marquez, Ochoas and Rosales are the five families that have joined the church. I have also been very busy discipling the new converts.
The Lord has brought also a man that is a great help in the ministry, Bro. Miguel Gonzales. Bro. Gonzales used to be a pastor and has recently embraced fundamentalism. He is also a preacher and has helped me a few times preaching in my place when I have to travel. There are seven families that have joined the church in total, as well as four single people. We have also seen souls saved during our street preaching and door-to-door evangelism. Wehave started going door-to-door on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and we have seen the Lord’s hand working. Two people have come to the church as a result of this outreach.
I asked the people in the church to pray for a piano and the Lord gave us one that same week we prayed. Then, I asked the people to pray for somebody to play it. The Rosales family showed up. They had visited in the past but, this time, they spoke to me about joining the church. Then, they mentioned that one of their daughters is learning how to play the piano and she might be the answer to our prayers. Praise the Lord!
Please pray for our upcoming baptisms. There are many that need to get baptized and it’s my desire to have them baptized before Resurrection Sunday to have them partake of the Lord’s Supper.
Weare supporting two missionaries at the moment. Our missionary budget has increased and we will be able to support three more missionaries soon. Weare very proud of our missionaries, they are doing a great job, for the glory of God. Ever since that Missions Conference in San Antonio, TX in February of last year, the Lord opened my eyes about supporting missionaries even when the church is just starting, and through that too, the Lord has blessed our church. I feel thrilled to
see the people sharing my vision about supporting missionaries, it really blesses my soul.

OUTREACH IN MEXICO
LOS ALGODONES, B.C
(Services at 3:00 p.m. on Sundays)
- and SAN LUIS RIO COLORADO, SON., MÉXICO
The Lord has been gracious and merciful and has blessed the work in Los Algodones. We have had up to one (1%) percent of the population of the town attending our church (50 people). I’ve invited the church in Yuma to go to Mexico a few times and hand out gospel tracts while I preach with my megaphone. It has been a tremendous blessing and has been an encouragement for all of them.
Weneed another place to meet in Algodones. The Jimenez family has been very generous letting us use their house for free but, sadly some people won’t come because they simply don’t feel comfortable going to "somebody else’s house." We definitely need our own place. Please help me in praying about this. I covet your prayers on whether we should buy our own piece of land and start building. But anything we do must be done according to God’s will and timing.
There is also a man that is a good candidate to become a pastor there as well. In March he visited the mission and I feel peace about him being the person to stay as a pastor in the future. I also need direction from the Lord regarding this matter and I would appreciate your prayers.
Bro. Richard Zakrajsek has been a big blessing. He stayed in the area for a few months and helped me with making visits and being my door knocking partner, both in Mexico and in Yuma. I have been teaching him Spanish and he has been making great strides in this area. He is now able to read a gospel tract in Spanish and he has done it using the megaphone in Mexico several times when we went street preaching. Bro. Travis and Sister Tanya have been helping also a lot in Los Algodones (as Sunday School teachers) and the children have been growing spiritually. They have been memorizing the books of the Bible, verses and learning Bible stories.
I also have continued preaching in San Luis, but not as often as I used to. Since the work in Yuma has grown, my time is very limited. I am sure that soon we will be able to start something with the help of the Spanish church. I have been thinking and praying about different projects on how to start a church in San Luis. Please help me to pray about this, too.
I also had the privilege to help in a project to hand out CDs with Bible stories in Mexicali, Mexico. It was through Iglesia Bautista Esperanza in Mexicali. My friend, Jose Gutierrez, is the pastor there. Bro. Mark Ring and Comforting Mercies Ministries donated 5,000 CDs with Bible stories, very professionally done, for distribution. The people were very thankful and it was an outstanding experience to see how happy the people were who received the CDs. Wewent door-to-door
and handed out those CDs that included the plan of salvation in the last tract of the CD. I am sure many souls will get saved out of these materials. I also would like to encourage you to support Bro. Ring. He can be reached at (559) 683-7028. He is also a Bible believer and works with, and under, the authority of local fundamental baptist churches.

ANNOUNCEMENTS / PRAISES
I had the opportunity to go to the West Coast Blitz in Marysville, CA. It was a profound blessing to be able to minister onthe streets again in San Francisco, Sacramento and Marysville. Bible Baptist Church in Marysville were excellent hosts, as always. The preaching and instruction were great, too. This time, though, the people in San Francisco were very reluctant to receive the tracts. It took me two hours to hand out just 50 chick tracts. That should give you an idea on how hard it was. I thank the Lord for this church and Pastor Parker for having this blitz, and I hope they continue to do so.
Sixty-seven (67) souls got saved from the electronic gospel tracts in my website http://www.interbiblia.com. I have been able to do some follow ups on some of them and they have been able to download helpful discipleship materials from my website.
Since the Spanish church has grown, the church has planned to start giving me a salary. Lord willing they are planing to start in the month of April. Since the work has grown and my time to go on deputation has been reduced dramatically, this will be a great blessing for me.
I apologize for not sending my newsletter from October to December of 2005. I am trying to include both this regular newsletter, as well as the events from October to December as well. I hope this won’t happen again and that I’ll be able to send my newsletter faithfully every three months as I normally do. Please feel free to call me anytime if you have any questions or if you have a prayer request. I’ll be glad to pray for you, my cellphone number and email address are included
above.
Thank you again for your continued prayers and support. May God bless you richly.

Your servant in Christ,

Missionary Ulises Velazquez
Acts 20:24
Tuesday, November 29, 2005

July-September 2005 Newsletter
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! I would like to
thank each and every one of you for your prayers and support for my
ministry on both sides of the border.

LOS ALGODONES, B.C.- MÉXICO (Services at 3:00pm on Sundays)
The church has grown and people are more faithful. During the first
week of July, I was not able to cross the border because my visa
expired. Bro. Pablo Sanchez preached in my place. Ten days after my
visa expired, I received a permit to travel so I was able to travel
back and forth to Mexico. There is a sweet spirit among the people
there. I feel blessed to be able to teach and preach to them what God
has given me. I’ve seen spiritual growth in many of them. Help me to
pray for wisdom regarding a future building for the church.
I know it’s too soon to think about a building program but, there is a
possibility to purchase and to start paying for a piece of land on
which to build at some stage in the future. Please pray with me for
direction. In my experience, I’ve noticed that churches grow more when
they meet in a neutral place.

YUMA, AZ (Services on Sundays at 10 am Sunday school, preaching 11am and 7pm and Wednesday 7pm)
By God's grace, during this past three months the Spanish ministry has
grown. We have seen souls saved and they have joined the church as
well. Sister Sulma Salinas and her five children are coming to church.
She and three of her children were saved and baptized, and are
attending faithfully. Sister Maria Uribe joined the church in July and
she is bringing three of her grandchildren to church. Eight souls were
saved during our door-to-door evangelism, as well. I’ve been preaching
in the park on Tuesdays and have been able to hand out many gospel
tracts in Spanish as well as English. Additionally, I’ve submitted an
application to preach in the county jail. Please pray that I the
application is approved as soon as possible. I know there is a big need
and I’m looking forward to being able to preach there.

SAN LUIS, R.C SONORA. – MÉXICO (Open air preaching and literature distribution mainly on Saturdays)
Pastor Pablo Sanchez from Mexicali, B.C. and some of the teenagers of
his church have been coming to help me pass out John and Romans along
with gospel tracts, while I preach in the park on Saturdays. It’s
encouraging to see young people serving the Lord. The people in the
park are very receptive. Until now the Lord has not opened the door to
start a work in this place. We don’t have the means to do it, but God
is faithful and we are trusting Him. There are some relatives of the
people that come to the Spanish church in Yuma that live in San Luis,
it might be that through them we can start a church in the future. We
are in need of John and Romans booklets. If you know where I can get
some, please contact me. Also we need some Spanish Reina-Valera Bibles.
If you have some, we need them for new converts and also for the jail
ministry.

PRAISES
I had the privilege of attending the Street Preachers Convention in New
York. Old Paths Bible Baptist Church in Rochester, NY had their annual
Street Preachers Convention and it was a blessing. We preached in
Rochester, Buffalo and Niagara Falls. I was able to lead a soul to
Christ in Buffalo. It was a tremendous experience to preach from a hot
air balloon in Niagara Falls, it was a great experience. God bless the
members of this church and Pastor Joe Cammilleri, it was a tremendous
convention. During this three months 38 souls got saved reading the
electronic tracts in my website www.interbiblia.com. It has been a
great evangelistic tool. Dear brethren thank you very much once more
for your prayers and
support. May God bless you.

I had a great time preaching in NY last week. Old Paths Bible Baptist Church
in Rochester, NY had their annual Street Preachers Convention and it was a
blessing. It started on Wednesday the 10th with a service and on Thursday we
started our publick ministry.

On our way to attack!

ROCHESTER, NY (Thursday 10th of August)
We ministered first in
the city of Rochester. It's a beautiful city. We started
singing as a group and after that we spread out and preached.
We
covered the whole downtown area. We handed out many gospel tracts
and
preached both with a sound system and, without it. I found a good
place to
preach below the bridge. In that location our voices seemed to
project as
if we were using a PA system. The overall reception was great and
we saw souls saved. One man came to church with us as a result of
the evangelism.
People were amazed on how we invaded the city. There were about
200 of us
handing out gospel tracts, holding banners and preaching open
air. It was a great time; a unique experience.

In downtown Rochester

Preaching and handing out gospel tracts

Bro. Knox preaching

BUFFALO, NY (Friday 11th of August)
We arrived to Buffalo,
NY early and to our surprise it was raining. Pastor Cammilleri had
already made preparations with a huge canvas that we used to
protect us from the rain. We sang hymns and afterwards, started
preaching.
After the rain stopped, we spread out just like we did in
Rochester. We
preached and handed out gospel tracts and held our banners. When
handing out
tracts I met a man waiting for the bus who is a Spanish speaker.
I witnessed to him and he asked the Lord to save him. When I
left, he had a
smile on his face that I will never forget. His name is Eradio Sanchez
and
he is from Puerto Rico. I will be sending him a Bible, and two
books by
Bro. James Knox that will help him in his spiritual growth. Please have
Eradio in your prayers. I know there was a reason for me to make that
long
trip. I feel so happy serving the Lord!

Preaching in Buffalo, the rain couldn't stop us

Women in publick ministry, who said they can't?

NIAGARA FALLS, NY (Saturday 12th of August)
The best day for me was in Niagara Falls. We preached as we did in the
other two places and since it's a tourist area, the opportunities to
minister were much greater. I witnessed to even Spanish speakers from
differents parts of Latin America and also one from Mexico. I was always
looking for Spanish speakers but also witnessed to many anglos, too. The
most exciting preaching time though, was when we got into a hot air balloon
and preached from it! It was something amazing! We had our megaphones and
as soon as we started going up we started preaching. People could hear us
even on the Canadian side. It was something extreme but, a fabulous
experience. We also had a romantic moment when Bro. Greg Davis (a brother
that also preaches in Colleges and Universities) got engaged when the
balloon go to the maximun height. It made us all sigh and when we got off
we were all clapping our hands and congratulating them. It was an original
way to propose, no doubt. After preaching from the balloon we tried to go to
Canada but the line of pedestrians was too long and it was already too late.
In addition, we had to go back to Rochester for the rest of the activities.
I preached from the bridge that divides Canada and USA, to the people that
were on the ships on the Genesee river.

The balloon that we preached from

Bro. Greg Davis preaching while going up, his fiance is on his left side.

Kids preaching, there is hope for the new generation.

It was an outstanding experience, praise God for the people of Old Paths
Bible Baptist Church. I thank all of them for their hospitality and
especially Bro. Charlie Barkowski and his family for all their kindnesses and
for both picking me up at the airport and dropping me off when I left.

May God bless your souls.

        April-June 2005 Newsletter
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

Greetings
in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! I would like to thank each and
every one of you for your prayers and support for my ministry on both
sides of the border.

LOS ALGODONES, B.C.- MÉXICO (Services at 3:00pm on Sundays)
The
Lord has blessed the mission with new visitors. Some of our members who
had stopped coming to the mission, are now back with us. The
evangelistic outreach was blessed by the Lord; the visitation, door
knocking and open air preaching. Through the outreach, many people have
heard the gospel and have received evangelistic literature. The
attendance averaged 20 people during these three months. The hot
weather is here and the temperature has been up to 105 degrees during
the day, The Lord provided a swamp cooler, which is similar to an
air-conditioner, for us to use at the place we meet and it has been a
big blessing, especially to the elderly women. I had the privilege to
work with the brethren of Faith Baptist Church on May 28th. Pastor
Andrews brought a group of brethren from his church to help us on our
evangelistic outreach. We had a wonderful time. They handed out gospel
tracts while I preached with the megaphone. After that we went
door-to-door and we handed out about 1200 tracts. Four souls made a
profession of faith that day. Please have this new converts in your
prayers.

YUMA, AZ (Services on Sundays at 10 am Sunday school, preaching 11am and 7pm and Thursday 7pm)
Praise
God we had been able to reach many souls. Bro. Richard Zakrajsek
arrived here in April and we were able so go door knocking 3- to
4-times a week. Through this, 19 souls received the Lord Jesus Christ
as their Lord and Saviour. I’m working on the discipleship of those
newly saved and to get them in church and baptized. One lady came to
church (sister Francis) as a result of the door-to-door evangelism. She
has been coming to church, praise the Lord! She has been the first
person to come to church because of our door-to-door evangelism, since
I’ve been here in Yuma.

SAN LUIS, R.C SONORA. – MÉXICO (Open air preaching and literature distribution mainly on Saturdays)
I
was able to go to San Luis, Mexico, every Saturday to preach on the
streets and parks. Typically, I hand out John and Romans booklets
averaging a box of (300) every time I preach. I had the privilege to
lead a soul to Christ after preaching in the park. A teenager first
came up to Bro. Zakrajsek. Bro. Zakrajsek tried to talk with him but,
because of his limited spanish, he asked me to help. The teen asked me
“how can I know when I’m saved”? I explained to him what the Bible says
and right then, he gave his life to the Lord. After praying he said: “I
feel different.” I gave him a Bible and he was very happy when we left.
It doesn’t end there though. The next Saturday, as soon as we started
distributing the John and Roman booklets, he came and helped us hand
them out. It’s always a blessing to see souls saved but, even more to
see them doing something for the Lord. The name of this teenager is
Jacinto Reyes. Please pray for him, pray that the Lord will use him in
a mighty way and also for the San Luis Project.

ANNOUNCEMENTS / PRAISES
I
praise the Lord for the souls saved. During these three months 49
people trusted the Lord through the electronic gospel tracts on the
website interbiblia.com. I’ve been sending discipleship materials via
the internet and have been able to refer some of them to sound
Independent Baptist Spanish churches that I know of in Mexico and USA.
I ask your prayers for the adjustment of status on my staying in USA.
May God bless each one of you.

Thanks again for our prayers and support.
Your servant in Christ,

Missionary Ulises Velazquez
Acts 20:24
Thursday, April 14, 2005

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! I would like to thank each and every one of
you for your prayers and support for my ministry on both sides of the border.

LOS ALGODONES, B.C.- MÉXICO (Services at 3:00pm on
Sundays)

The
Lord has been gracious and merciful and has blessed the work in Los
Algodones. During winter, the line of
cars to cross the border from Mexico to USA is very long and it is hard to be
on time for the service in Yuma at 7:00 p.m. For this reason, I had to leave my
car on the American side and walk into Mexico.
Things were a little more difficult because of the unusual rain we had
during this time, walking on those dirt roads was harder. I was able to lead
some souls to Christ during this time and during services we had four souls
that trusted Jesus Christ as their savior.
Because of respiratory sickness that affected almost everybody
(including myself), the attendance was below average during this time, but by
the middle of March the attendance went practically back to normal. The
brethren are able to find the books of the Bible faster. Some of the husbands of the ladies that come
to church have made a profession of faith, please pray that they can come in
the future. We desperately need men in
the church. Some missionaries visited our church, the Paytons and also Bro.
Ryan Bickel, they enjoyed the services.
Concerning the theft, they have not broken into our place anymore or
stolen anything, praise the Lord. We’ve
now split-up the children’s classes and have two teachers helping me with the
children. Bro. John Travis has joined
sister Tanya (both members of Truth Baptist Church) as Sunday School teachers,
they both are doing a great job.

YUMA, AZ (Services on Sundays at 10 am Sunday school, preaching 11am
and 7pm and Thursday 7pm)

The
Lord has been working and giving the increase in our Yuma church. We’ve had new visitors coming to our church,
as well as some very faithful teenagers.
We have also seen souls saved during our street preaching and
door-to-door evangelism. We average
about two to three people per week.
Sadly, they have not started to attend church, so please keep these
young Christians in your prayers. I
attended two Mission Conferences in February; one in New Mexico and the other
in Texas. The Lord spoke to me about
taking on support for other missionaries.
It was my intention, because the size of the Spanish ministry is so
small, to take on support at some time in the future - when we grow more. But, the Lord spoke to me and convicted me
of that excuse. We have started
supporting two missionaries, they are both in Mexico, we are considering
supporting others soon in the U.S. and abroad.
We are now taking a mission offering for that purpose. I’ve noticed a difference in the people
since we started doing it, as well. I
remember the words of Pastor Roy Carrizales, a pastor that preached at the
Missions Conference in TX, he said: “when I started my ministry, somebody told
me, take a missionary on for support and the Lord will bless your church.” The Lord has blessed them, they now support
more than a hundrend missionaries and their congregation is spiritually
strong. Since I’m a missionary, I have
the responsibility to teach the brethren to be missionary minded and to always
consider supporting missionaries. What
I believe is that a missionary is the opportunity that God gives us to bless
our churches.

SAN LUIS, R.C SONORA. – MÉXICO (Open air preaching and
literature distribution mainly on Saturdays)

The
Lord has blessed our efforts in San Luis.
In the park where we go every Saturday to preach on the streets, has
been blessed with an usual amount of people lately. The same is true with the open market area we preach in as well. We have seen souls saved, which is a
blessing. It saddens me, however, when
people ask us “where is your church
located at?” and I have to respond that we do not have one yet. While we do have the work in Los Algodones,
it is still about 18 miles away and it’s almost impossible for them to go there
if they don’t have a vehicle. My burden
for this city has increased. I just
found out that this city is one of the main ones when it comes to drug
traffic. The teenagers of this city
exceed the average drug consummation rate in Mexico. Drug dealing related crimes are very high, according to
researchers. Most of the drugs from
both South America and Mexico enters U.S. through the Sonora-Arizona
border. This is why San Luis is a very
strategic city for drug dealers. I’ve
been looking for possible places to rent in order to start having services but,
as of now, I do not have the funds to do it.
Please pray that the Lord might open the door. It might be that we can find somebody that is willing to have
services in their house like what happened Los Algodones. I know the Lord will do something in this
city and I covet your prayers for wisdom in this matter.

ANNOUNCEMENTS / PRAISES

According
to new statistics the population of Spanish speakers in the U.S. has
increased. Sadly, those immigrants are
mainly Catholic and they are corrupting the U.S. politically, culturally and
spiritually. The only solution is to
reach them with the Gospel. I encourage
each church to consider starting a Spanish work or support those that you
know. Most churches are interested in
supporting missionaries out of the U.S. and are less sensitive when it comes to
evangelizing the people in the same country.
I praise the Lord for the opportunity to go to two Mission Conferences,
it was a big blessing. I was able to
present my work in one of the Conferences and one church took me on for
support. Praise the Lord! Please pray that I can visit more churches
soon to present my work. I praise the Lord for the provision of books from
Bible Baptist Church in Deland, FL (Pastor Knox). They sent me four boxes of books that had been a blessing to the
congregation and new converts. One of
the books is entitled “A Sure Foundation” and it is a good book for new
converts. It explains the basic
doctrines. The other book is “Signs,
Wonders and Miracles.” It is a book
exposing the teachings of the Charismatic movement. They both are a great help to our people. Also Bro. Knox has authorized me to put his
books on computer format in my website for download. This is going to be a big blessing for those Spanish speakers all
over the world that have access to the internet. The book is already available for download in my website,
http://www.interbiblia.com. It is a
blessing, especially to the young Christians who have recently been saved and
need literature to help them grow in the Lord.
71 souls got saved from the electronic gospel tracts in my website
(http://www.interbiblia.com). There is
also a new course on salvation available on the website, in addition to Bro.
Knox’s books. I’ve been considering
canceling the evening services in Yuma. The reason is that since we are only
starting, most people come in the morning, I still would like to keep the
evening service but it should be sometime in the future when we have more
people coming. By canceling our evening
services in Yuma, I can start a service in San Luis, R.C. Mexico. I need
wisdom, please join me in prayer about this.

Thank
you again for your continued prayers and support. May God bless you.

servant in Christ,

Christ:
October-December 2004 Newsletter

Greetings in the name of our
Lord Jesus Christ! I would like to thank each and every one of you for
your prayers and support for my ministry on both sides of the border.

LOS ALGODONES, B.C.- MÉXICO (Services at 3:00pm on Sundays)
The
Lord has blessed us with a new place to meet, and we have seen new
visitors coming to church, as well as souls saved and nourished. The
Jimenez’ Family let us use their house in Algodones for free and it has
been a blessing. Our first service at the new place was Nov. 7 and
we’ve seen people coming to church that had not come before. The place
where we are located now is in a more populated area and we’ve seen an
increase in attendance because of that. Unfortunately, in December
somebody broke into the church and stole some of our things. They broke
into our offering box but it was empty because we withdraw the money
from it after every service. They stole our van’s battery and some
other pieces of property but, nothing too important. The most valuable
things for us, (our Bibles) were still there. They didn’t steal any of
our chairs either. But I’ve learned from experience that when something
like this happens is because something good is coming. The Lord is
going to do something great soon, I truly believe it. Many new converts
have already memorized the books of the Bible and as a reward and
incentive they receive a brand new Bible. I feel so happy that they’re
memorizing them and that they can find the verses in the Bible faster
when I’m preaching. We have some people from Korea coming to our church
in Algodones, they live in Yuma and know some Spanish and they really
like going to Mexico and worship with us and hear the preaching. They
also donated some gifts for our kids and we had a great service on Dec.
19. The place was packed! We didn’t have enough chairs and there were
some people standing. The kids loved their gifts and we had four souls
saved that day, all of them first time visitors.

YUMA, AZ (Services on Sundays at 10 am Sunday school, preaching 11am and 7pm and Wednesday 7pm)
These
past three months the Lord has given me a lot to preach and I’ve felt a
lot of liberty. It has been a blessing to see the Jimenez’ Family
coming to our church in Yuma, AZ after they relocated from Algodones.
Sister Rosa Maria has been coming faithfully on Wednesdays but, Bro.
Adam can’t come because he is working. The Aguilera’s had been out of
church for a while because they are an elderly couple and had been
experiencing some illness and family problems. They are back now and
have been coming faithfully. They love to sing for the Lord and enjoy
good preaching. Please keep them in your prayers. They have still have
ongoing health problems. Juan and Rosalinda Cerecedo keep coming to
church with their children. They’re a nice family and are learning
fast, please pray that they get baptized soon. We also have had a great
time preaching on the streets of Yuma on Saturday afternoons. We also
have had some souls saved as a result of our door-to-door evangelism.

SAN LUIS, R.C SONORA. – MÉXICO (Open air preaching and literature distribution mainly on Saturdays)
I’ve
been going to San Luis, on Saturdays and have been able to preach a
great deal and hand out John and Romans booklets and tracts. I’ve been
blessed with brethren who have helped me during my ministry. Pastor
Luke Andrews went with me on Nov. 13, along with several members of his
church and we had a great time. They were handing out tracts while I
preached. After I finished preaching (as I normally do) I walked around
the square asking people if they have any questions about what was said
(looking for another opportunity to witness). One couple that was
seated on a park bench asked Jesus to save them. They were grieved and
convicted when I got there and said they heard the message and wanted
to get saved. They had been looking for a job for about a month and
said that they realized that Jesus is what they needed. I prayed for
them (after they asked Jesus to save them) that they could get a job.
Two other men also made a profession of faith that day and also a girl
that Bro. Andrews spoke with. Five made a profession of faith in total.
A week after that went to visit the couple that made a profession of
faith and brought each of them a Bible, a Next Step booklet (by Jack
Chick) and some food. Amazingly the woman told me that the Lord had
heard my prayers and that both had got a job. Her husband was not home
because he was working and she was going to start working that same
day. Praise the Lord! There is no better satisfaction than seeing the
Lord working in peoples’ lives and answering our prayers. On Nov. 2
missionary Richard Zakrajsek and myself went to hand out John and
Romans booklets at the cemetery in San Luis. They have a celebration in
Mexico on Nov. 2 called “The day of the dead” and people go to the
cemetery to visit the graves of their dead relatives. They bring food
and things that the dead person liked when they were alive. It’s a
pagan celebration but, it’s a great opportunity to witness. We handed
out eight boxes of John and Romans booklets, about 2400 (300 per box).
People were very receptive. I like going there every Nov. 2 because it
is a great opportunity to hand out literature and preach. Bro. Richard
enjoyed it as much as I did. If you ever come to visit, I’ll take you
there. It will be a great experience for you. Please keep praying for
the establishment of a church in San Luis and for the souls that got
saved.

PRAISES / ANNOUNCEMENTS
II praise the Lord for the
year 2004, it went fast but was full of blessings and challenges. I
wish you the best for this coming year 2005. I pray that this new year
be the year when our Lord returns, but if not, hope we all keep doing
what we ought to, serving Him is the best thing to do. I praise the
Lord also for a vehicle that I received. It was donated for my ministry
by the Mahan’s Family in Beaufort, South Carolina. I’m so grateful and
pray the Lord blesses them richly for this. I also received a love
offering from Calvary Baptist Church in Beaufort for the minor repairs
that the car needed; may God bless them. I’ve not visited any churches
on deputation yet but, hope to start doing it in January of 2005, Lord
willing. I also praise the Lord for the opportunity to minister in
Mexicali, BC, Mexico. It’s the place where I got saved and every time I
go there remember when the Lord saved me and it brings a revival to my
spirit. The biggest blessing, however, is ministering with the brethren
of Iglesia Bautista Esperanza. This was the first church that took me
on for support about five years ago. The first time I went there, I
took some men with me to preach on the streets. It is a blessing to
know that these same men are still streetpreaching. Their outreach has
expanded and they now have two groups; one goes on Mondays and the
other on Fridays. When I went there recently, we went out on a Friday
and I preached with them. The brethren enjoyed having me there and they
thank me for encouraging them to preach on the streets, praise the
Lord! This is also part of my ministry. I also have my new prayer cards
printed and will include one with this prayer letter. Please remember
to pray for me and my ministry, I really need it. I decided to move the
midweek service in Yuma, AZ, from Wednesdays to Thursdays, which will
allow me to go to present my ministry to various churches who have
their midweek services on Wednesdays. I also praise the Lord for the
opportunity to visit with my relatives in Durango for a few days in
November. I preached to one of my uncles, who was receptive. Please
remember my lost family members in your prayers. 40 people got saved
reading the electronic gospel tracts of my website in Spanish
(interbiblia.com) during the months of October to December. I’ll have
some materials online for download and some online courses soon. I’m
working on it. It’s something very important please pray for that, too.
Remember to visit my website for updates on my ministry. Thank you
again for your prayers and support and for reading this newletter. To
God be all glory and honor. May God bless you.

Your servant in Christ,
week before and delivered a Bible and a Next Step book from
Chick Publications and delivered some food to the couple that got saved,
they were in need and when they got saved they had been looking for a
job for two weeks and we prayed that they could find one and when I
delivered the food it was a big blessing to hear that BOTH had
already found a job, praise the Lord! (Matthew 6:33)

Nov.
22-27 I praise the Lord for the opportunity to go to Mexico to visit
with my parents. I preached to one of my uncles and he was
very receptive, his wife died last year and he wants to restart his life
and the word of God was well received by him. Please pray for
his soul as well as the rest of my relatives that are lost. While I was there preached in the same
square I used to preach when I lived there and had an unusual heckler,
it was a drunk catholic priest that came while I was preaching and was
shouting contradicting what I was saying. It served as an attraction to
the people around and it draw more attention as he continued trying to
interrupt me. After I preached he was quiet and ashamed, I came to
where he was and after a long talk he asked me to pray for him, he did
not get saved but said he realized he was wrong.

The
Lord also has blessed the services on both sides of the border.
Please keep the rehab center (where I preach on Mondays) in prayer,
because they've cancelled the services many times in a row. I'll keep you informed, God bless you.
San Luis, RC Mexico, many people listened to the message and 5
souls got saved. I had the privilege to minister with Pastor Luke
Andrews of Faith Baptist Church in Yuma and 3 other men of his
church. We had a great time and handed out a box of John &
Romans booklets and many gospel tracts. After preaching in the
park I walked arround to ask the people if they had any doubts about
what has been said, trying to have another opportunity to witness to
them, a couple that were sitting in one of the benches decided to trust
Jesus as their savior and also two more men. Bro. Andrews is bilingual
and he led a girl to Christ. Praise the Lord! We also stopped in San Luis, AZ on our way
back and handed out many more gospel tracts. I'll be visiting with the
people saved this week too give them a Bible and some other
materials. Please keep them in prayer.

On Sunday 14, we had great services, we had three visitors in our
church/mission in Los Algodones and pray they keep coming, the Lord
blessed the messages and they were of help to all of us. The
service at the rehab center was cancelled on Monday because they didn't
have electricity at the place where we meet, hope they solve the
problem soon. Thanks for reading. God bless you.
first service at our new place in Mexico. Finaly this past
Sunday, Nov. 7 we had our first service at the new place and we had a
great attendance, I felt a lot of spiritual liberty to preach. We
had people that didn't come to our other location show up to this other
place, I believe that we're going to see more people coming to
this other location with God's help, because it's in an area where more
people live.

Great day in Mexico last Tuesday, Nov. 2, the "day of the dead" in San
Luis, RC, was a great opportunity to distribute John & Romans
booklets, my missionary friend (Bro. Richard Zakrajsek) and myself
handed out 8 cases of this booklets, that's about 2400 booklets in only
a couple of hours. It was great! The best thing is that I
could see some people reading the literature, that's the most important
thing, God's word will not return void. I'm sure the Lord will
work in those hearts, please keep the souls that received the booklets
in prayer.

On Sunday, Nov. 7 also Bro. Richard Zakrajsek had to leave to see his
father in OH, he's very sick and is not saved, please pray for wisdom
for Bro. Richard to preach to his father again and also that God touch
the heart of his father. Thanks a lot.

I'll keep you informed. God blesss you.
